Series Premier: ‘Decent Exposure’ Featuring Nashville Dive Bar Soul Artist Phillip Michael Scales

Finally!

For the past few months here at Music Mecca, we’ve worked on putting together a web series featuring local Nashville artist interviews, followed by performed songs (groundbreaking concept, I know). And now more than ever, we wanted to create a fun little platform as something different from the usual livestreamed content they’ve been cornered into doing during this time. And while it’s great that that’s an option, we wanted to offer something a little more unique.

While we didn’t get to shoot as many episodes as we wanted, the ones we did film were a lot of fun, and we were fortunate enough to have everybody’s favorite mineral water Topo Chico sponsor the short series.

Speaking of shooting, none of this could’ve come to fruition without the help of the wonderfully talented photographer and videographer Hayley Gjertsen. Our friend and longtime stalwart of the Nashville music scene, Duncan Shea, helped produce sound on this episode and most, and also provided the scenic yard in which to shoot.

So without further adieu, we present to you Decent Exposure, with our very first guest Phillip Michael Scales.

Hope y’all enjoy, and if nothing else, hoping it can be a pleasant distraction from everything else.

Take it away Phillip!
