Who: McMillin
What: Like Nothing’s Changed, my new single
Where: It will be releasing on Spotify, Apple Music and all other streaming platforms.
When: November 15th, 2019
About The Release: This is a song that I wrote all the way back in 2015, and it has grown and changed (pun definitely intended) in ways I never expected it to. I’m excited to release the fully realized version of this song that I always knew it could be. It is a relatable song for anyone that has experienced heartache and wished that things could go back to the way they were.
What’s Next: Well, I am working vigorously on putting together a project of about 8 to 10 songs. In the mean time I am also working on my Youtube channel where I post music videos of cover songs that inspire me. My latest video is a cover of an Emily King song called, “The Animals.” My channel name is also McMillin.
My Three Records on a Desert Island: Voodoo – D’Angelo, Wallflower – Jordan Rakei, and Songs in the Key of Life – Stevie Wonder… You can’t beat the classics!
If I Could Open For Anybody, It’d Be: Most likely Allen Stone. That guy has influenced me the most out of any performer or artist that I’ve listened to. If I opened for him I’d probably die!
Would You Rather Be John Mayer or John Legend: If you had asked me this question five years ago, John Mayer would have been my answer hands down. However, I’ve been absolutely obsessed with John Legend for the past year, especially his Darkness and Light record. It’s a close call, but John Legend is the winner.
Favorite Nashville Food: This is a hard question because I really like to eat! I think it’s a tie between the barbecue burger from The Pharmacy, or the pulled chicken taco from Mas Tacos. Isn’t it crazy that Nashville’s two best restaurants are right across the street from each other?
Halloween or Christmas: Christmas! I’m just a sucker for colorful lights, hot chocolate and free stuff. The only reason my answer isn’t Halloween is because the local residents keep turning me away at the door! I wonder what their problem is?
First Vacation When I Hit The Big Time: Probably Switzerland. I really like mountains and watching sunrises. Plus they have a pretty cool Freddie Mercury statue there!
Closing Words: This is my first release so it’s a little scary! But I’m also so pumped to finally release all this music that I’ve been writing for the past couple of years. This song has an old soul with bright coat of paint. It’s a sultry blend of R&B, Pop, Rock and everything in between. I hope you’ll give it a listen! Thanks for reading!
