Technology has made the way music is created, distributed, and listened to ever-changing.
In the last year alone, new laws, platforms and organizations have been put in place to help both musicians and those on the business side alike. Vydia is a platform which offers support and resources in technology on many different fronts to the music business.
The platform states, “Our cutting-edge technology provides the digital infrastructure for audio and video distribution, content protection, rights management, advanced payments, and data tracking from one easy-to-use application.”
On February 9th, Vydia launched the new Vydia+ Partner Directory. The Partner Directory is a tool to help the process of connecting industry professionals together. It serves as a database that has brought together third party vendors to be easily accessed by industry professionals who are seeking services. The target audience for this new service is largely independent artists and label owners.
The platform is set up with companies’ contact information and specialties, and the database can be filtered by category, or what it is that the company does. Even when not filtered, each company’s specialties can be seen clearly while scrolling through the database.
“The most important aspect of hiring a team is reputation and trust. That’s why it was essential for us to leverage our influence and experience in the market to help the larger community,” says Roy Lamanna, CEO of Vydia.
A team at Vydia found that around 80% of label owners struggle to find other companies and service providers that are reputable and can and will meet their needs. To ensure that these service providers are trustworthy, Vydia+ has an “extensive vendor vetting process” and once passed, will receive a “Vydia Certified” badge that signals to anyone looking that the company is transparent and trustworthy.
With the Vydia+ Partner Directory, a new level of transparency and interconnectedness within the music industry is upon us.
