Mojo Thunder Turns Life’s Uncertainties Into Song Of Hope With New Video Single ‘Step By Step’

Anxiety and uncertainty can be all consuming, even if you’re actively making strides on how to deal with it along the way.

With the release of their catchy new single “Step By Step,” Kentucky rock and rollers Mojo Thunder describe precisely how it feels to face personal struggles whilst learning to navigate them at the same time.

The video for “Step By Step,” directed by photographer Jacob Chaney, visualizes the band going about their day leading up to playing a show, crossing from black and white frames and back to color when they step on stage. Particularly in the bridge, the song builds with the repeating phrase of “Step by Step,” as the band passionately puts their souls into their set, emphasizing the theme of making progress even if sometimes, you feel like “forward seems backwards” as sung in the outro.

“Step by Step” is the latest single off of Mojo Thunder’s upcoming album, The Infinite Hope, set to release August 16th, 2024. While much of their sound with prior albums like Hymns From The Electric Church (2021) and Alive, with Friends (2023) is inspired by a familiar 70s rock vibe, the group decided that for this third record, they wanted something that sounded a little more like “them.” (not the Van Morrison band)

Produced by Duane Lundy of Lexington Recording Co., the album aims to give listeners a more aggressive rock feel, while also reflecting on real life themes of love, loss, and the like.

Mojo Thunder initially formed in 2018, and consists of Sean Sullivan (vocals, guitar), Zac Shoopman (drums), Andrew Brockman (bass), and Bryson Willoughby (lead guitar).

The band is set for a massive European tour this fall with dates below. In the meantime, maybe you can catch them in an American city near you.
