Midwest Country Americana Songwriter Molly Brandt Delivers Latest Single ‘One Helluva Country’ Ahead Of New Album ‘Museum of Being’

Named Americana Artist of the Year at the 2023 and 2024 Midwest Country Music Awards, Molly Brandt has certainly caught the attention of listeners.

The Minnesota country and Americana singer-songwriter just released her latest single, “One Helluva Country,” on May 8th, and is set to release her next single, “Codfish Hollow,” on May 22nd. This of course all leads up to her third album release, Museum of Being, set to greet listeners June 12th, 2026.

“One Helluva Country” hits with a danceable 90s country-esque groove, with accentuating steel guitar that takes it to the next level. The chorus and vocal effects used give it a unique and catchy touch that’s ripe for cranking up the volume.

Brandt’s 2024 album, American Saga, earned praise from the Star Tribune and The Current, and her song “Mr. Texas” — which featured Reilly Downes — received a spot on the Netflix series The Hunting Wives

On a personal level, the track “Grizzly Rose” off of her upcoming album features a duet with her father, Blake Brandt. Named after a Denver nightclub where her parents used to two-step, the song is a moving memorial to her late mother. Brandt also voices her political feelings in the song “Do You Possess an Iron Will?,” which was born during the horrific ICE occupation of Minnesota, questioning the internal strength required to face injustice.

Brandt continues to prove that her roots are planted in Midwest Americana soil, and her creative country mind is focused on the horizon. You can catch her at festivals like Blue Ox in Eau Claire, Wisconsin this year. She will celebrate her album release with a live premiere at Icehouse in Minneapolis on the day it comes out, June 12th, 2026.
