Karly C Laments Promiscuous Patterns Due To Heartbreak In Fierce New Pop-Rock Anthem ‘One Night’

Anyone familiar with the empty, regretful feeling after a late night rendezvous with a stranger can attest to the straightforward lyrics of Karly C’s latest pop-rock anthem, “One Night.” Beyond just the heat of the moment and going home with a foreign face, it stems from a place of heartbreak, as it often does.

Exploring that burning desire for anything to take the pain away, the song expresses the internal frustrations that come with destructive behaviors – part of you is willing to do whatever it takes to feel something, yet another part of you knows it’s wrong and superficial. In this case, Karly C’s cure is a one-night stand.

Though conscious of her behavior, Karly C’s electrifying Pat Benatar meets Joan Jett-like voice laments that repetitive cycle of trying desperately to feel something other than pain. The lyric, “But if I were a man it’d be okay,” subtly approaches another theme of the disparity between societal expectations for men and women – which often do not add up.

“One Night”

With a bold confidence and “devil may care” attitude that sets her apart, Karly C is not just another pop princess. Refusing to sell out her sound and conform to the conventional, the sometimes pop-rock sometimes pop-country songwriter excels beyond the realm of “fitting in” and adhering to passing trends. Instead, she is unapologetically herself, offering an energetic take on the traditional norms of pop music.

As her talent — namely her thunderous unmistakeable voice — speaks for itself, her dedication to her craft and passion reach beyond that of music performance. A featured vocalist on EDM and pop collaborations globally, she boasts credentials as a triple threat in writing, producing, and recording.

“One Night” follows her May 2023 single, “You Made Your Bed,” which showcases the versatile artist’s range, as it steers in a more pop-country ballad direction but with one primary constant- her epic vocal ability. On the new track, she not only sings and wrote the song, but also engineered and produced it.

Regardless of genre, Karly C continues to bring the heat with her multidimensional style, impressive production quality, and a knack for telling it like it is. Be on the lookout for more music from this vocal powerhouse.
