Cumberland Jamboree: DelFest 2022 Set To Bring Bluegrass Heat To Maryland This Month

On May 26th to May 29th at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, Maryland, DelFest is set to launch its 14th Annual celebration of bluegrass and roots music.

But as we well know, these events are a celebration of life, joy, and happiness with like-minded people, and now more than ever we desperately need these moments.

Named after living bluegrass legend Del McCoury, the festival boasts some of today’s best and brightest in the bluegrass, country, and roots music world, and that of course includes The Godfather himself.

It’s indeed a McCoury jamboree and family affair, as The Del McCoury Band and The Travelin’ McCourys play host, and the latter will have very special guest Tyler Childers joining in. Additional acts include Railroad Earth, Bela Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart, Sam Bush, Robert Earl Keen, Leftover Salmon, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, and many more.

On April 5th, the festival announced they’d be offering a safe network where concert goers can sell and exchange tickets, and even find “sold out” ones via the platform Lyte. Pretty neat.

Music Mecca will be on site covering the festival in all its string-band glory, indulging in the mouth-watering fair-style food and cold beer, and will look to bring some indelible insight and intel from this springtime jubilee. We’ll do our damndest to make you wish you came.

You can find your tickets here, and we sure hope to catch you there! It oughta be a hoot.
