Born in New Jersey and starting out in New York musical theater, the now artist and songwriter TROY performed in the musical Oliver at age 12 amidst a host of Broadway stars, which captured the attention of The New York Times at the time- not a bad start in the entertainment industry for and up and comer.
As a teen, TROY scored leading roles in 13 (The Musical) and the world premiere musical A Christmas Story. Later moving to California, he starred as John Smiley alongside Mandy Moore in This is Us on NBC, as well as in The Last Ship on TNT and Victorious alongside Ariana Grande on Nickelodeon.
The entertainment world grew his love for storytelling, which led him to bring his charisma and soulful lyrics to Nashville to play a role in pop/Americana music. Since then, he has performed at places such as the well-known Whiskey Jam and The Listening Room.
Drawing inspiration from Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Elton John, and Queen, TROY mixes soul and rock along with classic pop production. Working to grow his career with his music manager, Michael Keeling, who worked in the production and creative design on Coldplay’s “Speed of Sound”, Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow”, and No Doubt’s “Tragic Kingdom”, TROY is gradually starting to release more music from his archive.

A gentler approach to the common pop song, TROY’s newest release, which drops tomorrow February 12th, takes a different perspective on heartbreak.
Sharing from a vulnerable place of breaking off a relationship, his new single “Foolish” details his experience as one of loneliness and pain, even though the decision was his to make. Relating to many people, the song reflects on not being able to sleep at night because of emotions creeping in, but also not wanting to reach out to the ex again.
Produced at Sienna Studios in Nashville by Marti Frederiksen, who has worked for Carrie Underwood, Aerosmith, and Daughtry, the proficient and effortless production develops the climactic emotional peaks and velvety piano ballad. Penning the lyrics himself, TROY sings, “I think about you every now and then, wonder if you miss me and laugh about me to your friends”. He explains these feelings are normal and wanted to put them to melody and release them to the world instead of keeping them bottled up.
TROY has already released two singles which both hopped on streaming platforms in 2020. “Unbreakable” is a confident tune that encourages listeners to believe in themselves, while his smooth and refreshing vocals start the song acoustically, but gradually quicken to an uplifting pop sound. “Undercover” is an infectious pop melody while he hits falsettos throughout the song, adding texture and grabbing the listener’s attention.
TROY’s sound brings a fresh combination of pop and acoustic, and breaks the mold of conventional genres. Keep an eye out for his new EP coming this spring.
