Callie McCullough Longs For The Simplicity Of Spending Time With A Lover On Country Pop Banger ‘All That I Want’

The world moves fast, and sometimes all we want is for things to slow down: to simply take things in, one moment at a time, ideally with someone we love.

That’s what Callie McCullough yearns for in her newest single, “All That I Want,” which released March 8th. The epitome of romance, “All That I Want” reflects the simplicity of the world when you’re looking at it next to the person you love.

McCullough’s classic-meets-90s-country sound is easy on the ears and hard not to enjoy. Her contemporary roots stand strong while always paying homage to the country legends who paved the road before her.

McCullough’s unique fusion of traditional country, Celtic, bluegrass and folk influences match her sharp songwriting, producing a sound of a seasoned songwriter who has found her voice. “All That I Want” was brought to life by GRAMMY-nominated producer Dave Brainard (Brandy Clark, Jamey Johnson, Jerrod Niemann) and penned by McCullough, Scotty Kipfer, and Molly Brown.

“All That I Want”

“All That I Want” offers a sweet and promising melody, telling a centuries-old tale of infatuation and longing. “We ain’t been alone in way too long / But loving you is always worth the wait,” she sings before the catchy chorus kicks in.

McCullough’s songwriting and vocals are equally as romantic as they are nostalgic. The aching and longing for someone is represented well in the swelling build of each verse, leading into a love confession in each chorus. The track is melodic and warm, and her vocals shine through like a guiding light.

“It’s groovy, it’s romantic, it’s sexy and I love playing it at shows because it makes people happy,” McCullough states. “It was a ball in the studio building up the groove and stacking harmonies with my friends.”

The Ontario raised and Nashville-based songwriter has earned a Canadian Country Music Association Nomination for Alternative Country Album of the Year, as well as three CMAO Nominations among other accolades. Along with her sassy tongue-in-cheek previous single, “What If I Don’t,” McCullough is carving out an enticing new era for her sound.
